A daughter of William F. and Emiline McDonald Howard, she was a native of Portsmouth and a lifelong resident of this section. Her husband was the late Robert William Hewitt. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorsey Holloman, of South Norfolk; three sons, Cecil E. Hewitt, Vernon L. Hewitt and Howard L. Hewitt, all of South Norfolk, and eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six nieces and a nephew. The body was taken to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
