Mrs. Hewitt is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Grace Hewitt Revelle, Mrs. Emma Hewitt Shipp and Mrs. Elsie Hewitt Hutchinson, two sons, William J. Hewitt and Linwood C. Hewitt; a sister, Mrs. Olivia Cartwright, of Norfolk and a brother, Charles Murrell, of Baltimore, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Hewitt was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was the widow of John Miles Hewitt whose death occurred this past June. She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. The body will be taken from the residence to the Freemason Street Baptist Church for funeral services Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
