Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch March 2, 1914
Mrs. Mary V. Hewitt, widow of Ambrose Hewitt, died last night, at the home of her 
son, W. N. Hewitt, in Princess Anne county, in her 87th year, being well-known and 
highly esteemed. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. S. A. Borum and Miss Mary V. 
Hewitt, two sons, W. N. and J. M. Hewitt, twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-
grandchildren. The funeral occurs at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the residence. Interment 
in Elmwood cemetery, Norfolk.
