Norfolk Virginian July 24, 1894

Sunday afternoon at o'clock Mrs. E.K. Hewlett died at the residence of her 
son, Capt. J.H. Baugham, Lovitt Avenue, at the advanced age of 86 years.  
She was twice married, her first husband being Lieut. Jas. G. Baugham, 
United States Navy, her last Mr. John Q. Hewlett, of Baltimore, Md., the 
father of J.Q. Hewlett, Jr., of Willoughby Avenue. Her funeral took place 
from St. Peter's P.E. Church yesterday at 4:30 p.m., Revs. W.D. Smith, 
rector, and A.S. Lloyd, of St. Luke's, officiating.  The following are the 
names of the pallbearers:  Judge W.N. Portlock and Messrs. H.S. Smith, Frank 
Portlock, R.W. Smith, W.W. Old, Norman Bell, D.C. Worthington and B.L. 
Christian.  Interment was in Elmwood.
