Norfolk Virginian January 11, 1888

HEY - At the residence of her husband, 248 Main Street, of consumption, EVA 
D., beloved wife of C.H. Hey, aged 34 years.
Funeral from the late residence, THURSDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock.  Friends 
and acquaintances invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Eva E., beloved wife of Mr. C.H. Hey, took place from 
the residence, No. 248 Church Street, yesterday afternoon and was largely 
attended.  Rev. Dr. J.L. Burrows, D.D., pastor of Freemason Street Baptist 
Church, assisted by Rev. H.M. Wharton, D.D., of Baltimore, conducted the 
services, after which the remains were borne to Elmwood Cemetery and 
interred.  The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers:  Messrs. L. 
Royster, John White, F.H. Gale, M. Winston, W.G. Ashley, J.R. Briggs, C.O. 
Wrenn.
