Virginian-Pilot, October 18, 1909
LOCKJAW KILLS CHINAMAN: Ah Hi, a Chinese seaman of the British steamship Knight 
Errant, whose death from lockjaw at St. Vincent's Hospital Monday, resulting 
from the mashing of one of his fingers, was buried at 1 o'clock p.m. yesterday 
in Elmwood Cemetery. The obsequies were held from the apartments of Funeral 
Director O. L. Gregory, No. 527 Church St, and were attended by several local 
Chinamen. The deceased was about 40 years of age.
