She was a native of Carnegie, Pa., and lived here 16 years. She was the wife of Spencer Hiatt and a daughter of C. W. Schade and Mrs. Lena Musial Schade of Prospect Park, Pa. She was a member of the Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a past president of Star of the Sea Woman’s Council. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a son, Jeffrey S. Hiatt, and two daughters, Misses Anita M. Hiatt and Celine A. Hiatt, all of Virginia Beach; five brothers, Robert Schade and William Schade of Boothwynn, Pa., C. W. Schade Jr., of Brookhaven, Pa., John Schade of Prospect Park, Pa., and James Schade of Mt. Holly, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hildenbrand of Morcoville, Pa.; and nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Star of The Sea Catholic Church Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 4701 Colley Ave., Norfolk. The family will be at 844 Deary Lane, Virginia Beach.
