She had resided in Norfolk for two years. Sister Vincent last taught school in Portsmouth, where she was well known. At Petersburg she taught the senior class at St. Joseph’s Academy of that city. Sister Vincent had a wide circle of friends in the different cities where she taught. Sister Vincent’s family name could not be learned. It is said that she is the only member of her family who embraced the Catholic faith.
