Miss Hickey screamed for help, but, before assistance came, she was fatally burned. Bankets were wrapped about her and the fire extinguished, but not until the flesh was almost burned into a crisp. The ambulance came from St. Vincent’s and Miss Hickey was hurried to the hospital where, although everything possible was done for her relief, she died in about an hour. Miss Hickey was 58 years old and had a host of friends. The funeral will occur at St. Mary’s church tomorrow morning at 9:30 o’clock. The interment will be in the Catholic cemetery.
