Virginian-Pilot  July 25, 1945
William John Hickey, USN, 60, son of the late David and Mrs. Bridget King Hickey, 
a native and resident of Norfolk, died at the residence, 755 West Ocean View 
Avenue Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Mr. Hickey was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View; the Holy Name 
Society of that Church, and B. P. O. Elks Lodge, Bremerton, Wash. He is survived 
by a sister, Miss Mary A. Hickey, of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the 
residence to Holy Trinity Catholic Church for funeral services Thursday at 10 a.m. 
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
residence tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
