Virginian Pilot April 29, 1974

Oliver Alfred Higgins, 73, of 103 Cromwell Parkway, Apt. 103, a retired iron 
worker of Norfolk Naval Shipyard, died Sunday morning in Hampton Veterans 
Hospital.
A native of Philadelphia, he was the husband of Mrs. Elva Tunnell Higgins.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and member of the National Association 
of Retired Federal Employees and Park Place Baptist Church.
Besides his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine H. McCotter 
of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at noon in Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Indian River Road, by Dr. Paul B. Watlington.  Burial will be in Cedar 
Grove Cemetery.  The family will be at 144 Kidd Blvd.
