Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, August 30, 1990 
Carrie Bell Hill, of the 7100 block of Sewells Point Road, died Aug. 27, 1990,
in a hospital.

Mrs. Hill, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Henry Hill. She was a member of
St. John A.M.E. Church where she served on the usher board. She was also a
member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People,
Norfolk Chapter.

Survivors include two sisters, Lucille R. Durham of North Carolina and Mary J.
Brown of Albany, N.Y.; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John A.M.E. Church by
the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Community Funeral
Home is handling arrangements.
