He is survived by his widow, one sister, Mrs. James Robinson. He was a member of the Elks and Owls and formerly a member of the Hope Volunteer fire department. He was also formerly paymaster's yeoman, U.S.N. and foreman of the Norfolk street cleaning department. He was a native of Norfolk, well known and highly regarded. He was sick about a month. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Vernon I'Anson, pastor of the Grace Baptist church and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
