A funeral service was held Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Berkley, for Mrs. 
Sarah A. Rowe Hill of 1020 Mapole avenue.  She died at  her home June 30.
The Rev. J. C. Diamond officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Morning Glory Funeral Home.

A native of Hampton, Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Alexander Rowe and 
Mrs. Elsie Harris Hill.  She was the wife of the Rev. William F. Hill.
The deceased was a member of First Baptist, its Missionary Circle, Ministers 
Wives’ Alliance and Busy Bee Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Lester Hill of 
Richmond;  Dr. Carl Hill of Nashville, TN;  and Ishmael Hill of Brooklyn, four 
daughters, Misses Marcella and Colon Hill of Norfolk;  Mrs. Elsie Hewitt of 
Jamaica, NY, and Mrs. Sarah Cooke of Richmond;  and a sister, Alice Clark of 
Norfolk.
