Virginian-Pilot June 8, 1927
Mrs. Caroline W. Hill, aged 80, died at her home, 116 West Eleventh street, 
yesterday morning at 7:30 o'clock after a long illness. She was a native of 
Philadelphia but has been a resident of Norfolk practically all of her life. 
Surviving her are her husband, W. H. Hill, Sr.; one daughter, Mrs. H. S. 
Frasier; three sons, W. H. Hill, Jr., and Charles E. Hill, of Norfolk, and 
Fredrick B. Hill, of Portsmouth; one sister, Mrs. Louisa Meather, of Norfolk, 
and three grandchildren. Funeral services, which will be private, will be 
conducted Thursday, at 12 o'clock noon, from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 
346 West Princess Anne road. Rev. F. B. McSparren, pastor of First M. E. Church, 
of which the deceased was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The family asks friends to omit flowers.
