REON GLESSNER HILLEGASS, 72, construction engineer and husband of Mrs. Mary Foley 
Hillegass and son of William and Mrs. Sarah Glessner Hillegass, died Thursday at 
2:31 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.

Hillegass, a construction engineer superintendent, was a native of Diving Ridge, 
Pa., and lived in Norfolk 28 years at 611 Maury Place.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and Robert 
B. Kealey Council 3548, Knights of Columbus.

Besides his widow, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lewis E. Marsh and Mrs. 
Dale F. Haney, Miss Theresa Hillegass and Mrs. Julia A. Pace of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Mario Gonzales of Warrensburg, Mo.; four sons, Joseph A. Hillegass of Arlington, 
James F. Hillegass, Reon G. Hillegass Jr., and Michael G. Hillegass of Norfolk; 
two sisters, Miss Jess Mae Hillegass and Miss Sarah Hillegass of Berlin, Pa.; and 
36 grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited in his home Sunday at 7:30 p.m.  A funeral service will 
be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.
