NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Foley Hillegass of 611 Maury Ave., the widow of Reon Glessner 
Hillegass Sr., and a native of Meyersdale, Pa., died Thursday in a hospital.
She lived here for 42 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
Parish and the PTA of Sacred Heart School. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality 
at Sacred Heart and the 3rd Order of Saint Francis.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Mary H. Marsh of Kwajelein, Marshall 
Islands, Mrs. Sara Haney of Norfolk, Mrs. Margaret Gonzales of Warrensburg, Mo., 
and Mrs. Theresa Morgan of St. George, Utah; four sons, Reon G. Hillegass Jr. of 
Norfolk, James F. Hillegass and Michael G. Hillegass of Virginia Beach, and Joseph 
A. Hillegass of Arlington; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Foley of Meyersdale; 40 
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A 
funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by the 
Rev. Fr. Raymond Barton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The 
family requests that memorial donations may be sent to St. Mary’s Infant Home.
