Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, September 9, 1993 
Robert R. Hill Sr., of the 1300 block of Lead St., a retired truck driver, died
Sept. 6, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mr. Hill was born in Smithfield, Va., and was retired from the City of Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Octavia Hill; six daughters, Marian Boose, Carolyn
Bates and Veronica Hill, all of Norfolk, Barbara Hill of Virginia Beach, Ann
Johnson of San Diego, Calif., and Catherine Hill of Philadelphia; four sons,
Allen Hill, Howard Hill and Glen Hill, all of Norfolk, and Robert Hill Jr. of
Virginia Beach; two brothers, Moses Hill and Carey Hill, both of Norfolk; and a
host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Messiah Presbyterian Church by
the Rev. Ronald Evans. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
