Virginian-Pilot  September 28, 1945
Mrs. Clara Priscilla Hiltcher, 62, widow of Joseph Hiltcher and daughter of the 
late Richard and Mrs. Margaret Richardson Pulley, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, 
died yesterday morning at 5:30 o’clock at the residence, 2965 Verdun Avenue. 
Surviving her are a son, Joseph Leroy Hiltcher; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Lex, both 
of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. William Burden, of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. John 
Salmon, of Paterson, N. J.; two grandsons, Joseph and Richard Lex, of Norfolk. 
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Saturday morning at 10 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at 
the residence Friday evening at 7:30 o’clock.
