NORFOLK - Mrs. Geneva Hines of 971 Washington Ave. died Friday in a hospital.

A native of Greenville, N.C., she was a daughter of William and Mrs. Irene 
Whitaker and the widow of Thomas Hines.

She was a member of C.H. Mason Memorial Church.

She is survived by three sons, Elder Lewis Hines, Marvin Hines and Milton Burton 
of Norfolk; four daughters, Mrs. Erma Wade and Mrs. Jessie H. McRae of Norfolk 
and Mrs. Shirley M. Garner of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Evelyn L. Wallace of 
Washington; a brother, Elder William Whitaker of Suffolk; four sisters, Mrs. 
Carrie Nobles of Greenville, Mrs. Bessie Lockett of Norfolk, Mrs. Irene Dixon of 
Newark, N.J. and Mrs. Cosie Harvey of the Bronx, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren; and a 
great-grandchild.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home.
