Virginian Pilot, Monday, Jan. 24, 1938
Mrs. Wessie Indiana Hines, aged 81, died yesterday morning at 12:30 o’clock at
her residence, 1304 Redgate avenue.  She was a native of Nelson County and had
been a resident of Norfolk 45 years.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
George E. Williams, and Mrs. C. C. Parlett, both of Norfolk;  two sons, Dr. P.
P. Peebles, of Williamsburg, and the Rev. J. D. Peebles, of Norfolk;  one
sister, Mrs. D. J. Davis, of Cambria, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3:45 o’clock in the
Gregory Funeral Home, Thirty-fourth and Granby streets, by the Rev. P. Rowland
Wagner, pastor of the Central Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
