Virginian-Pilot  December 12, 1943
Theodore Adolphus Hinnant, aged 70, husband of Mrs. Elispeth Jeanette Hinnant, and 
son of the late John Thomas and Mrs. Bathenia Hinnant, died at a local hospital 
yesterday morning at 11 o’clock. Mr. Hinnant was a native of Wayne County, N.C., 
and a resident of Norfolk for the past 14 years, residing at 3214 Granby street at 
the time of his death. Besides his wife, Mrs. Elispeth Hinnant, he is survived by 
four sons, Carl S. Hinnant, of Washington, and Glaucus G., Paul A. and Theodore A. 
Hinnant; two granddaughters, Misses Jeanette and Mary Bell Hinnant, and one 
grandson, Robert C. Hinnant, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
