Virginian Pilot March 25, 1977
 
Mrs. Gloria M. Hinton of 901 Westgate Court, the wife of James A. Hinton Sr. and 
a native of New York City, died Tuesday in her home.
She was a daughter of Mrs. Hilda Johnson. She worked at Portsmouth Naval 
Hospital for 14 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, West Munden, St. Thomas Eastern Star 
Chapter 51, Arabia Court 23, Alexander Social and Civic Club and the A.B.W. 
Federation Business Association.
Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Eumilta Hinton of Chesapeake; three 
sons, James A. Hinton Jr. of New York and Adolph Hinton and Lionel Monseque of 
Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Salaybia of the Bronx, N.Y. and Anna 
Marigoult of New York; a brother, Lionel Monseque of New York; and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, West Munden, 
by the Rev. John L. Ashby. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Moseley 
Funeral Home in charge
