NORFOLK - Mrs. Bessie Hinton of 803 Whitehead Ave. died Friday in a hospital.
  A native of Edenton, NC, she was a daughter of Joseph and Mrs. Susan Jones
Kelly and the widow of William Hinton.
  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen, a sister, Mrs. Ethel
Long, and a brother, Walter Kelly, all of Norfolk.
  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. Zion Baptist Church
by the Rev. J.M. Alexander.  Burial will be in Cavalry Cemetery.  The body will
be taken from Chatman Funeral Home to the church at noon.
