HIPKINS, in the 67th year of her age. Mrs. Hipkins' Burial The funeral of Mrs. Matilda Hipkins took place yesterday afternoon at Christ Church, the remains having been brought from New York in the morning. The floral offerings were simple, but beautiful. At the head of the coffin a floral piece representing the "Gates Ajar," was located, on top of which rested a dove. At the foot of the coffin a cross was set. There was a large number of the friends of the deceased present. The service was read by Dr. O. S. Barten. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Captain J. R. Ludlow, James Y. Leigh, R. H. Baker, Charles Sharp, George Newton, Major A. B. Cooke and Samuel Marsh.
