HITCHINGS, VERNON DAVIS - At a local hospital, Sunday, January 16, 1949, at 4:45 
p.m., VERNON DAVIS HITCHINGS, husband of Mrs. Mabel Wormington Hitchings, and son 
of the late Edgar A. and Mrs. Katherine Davis Hitchings, in the 64th year of his 
age. Services at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 
Colonial Avenue, TUESDAY AFTERNOON, January 18, 1949, at 3:30 o'clock. Friends of 
the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
