Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, November 5, 1992 
Utoka P. Hite, 91, a retired food service worker, died Oct. 31, 1992, in her home.

Mrs. Hite was born in Isle of Wight County, Va. She had retired from the
Virginia Beach public schools. She was a member of First Lynnhaven Baptist
Church, Virginia Beach; Evening Light Chapter 48, Order of Eastern Star; Hulda
Tent 71, United Order of Tents; and Royal Degree Chamber 3. She was the widow of
Herbert Hite.

Survivors include a daughter, Ola H. Wheaton; a son, Herbert McCoy; two sisters,
Zulean P. Joyner and Jesse P. Green; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren;
and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in First Lynnhaven Baptist Church
by the Rev. Edgar L. Williams Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
family will assemble at 3112 Gaston Drive, Chesapeake. The body will be placed
in church at 10 a.m. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling local
arrangements.
