Norfolk Virginian December 30, 1891

The funeral of the late Capt. Geo. W. Hobbs took place from the Berkley Avenue 
Baptist Church yesterday morning and was largely attended.  The Chesapeake 
Tribe No. 50 I.O.R.M., attended in a body.  The following gentlemen acted as 
pallbearers:  C.W. Topping, William Rawlins, Geo. Frank, James Johnson, 
Mathias Payne and T.C. Humphries.
