Hobbs, 818 West Thirty-Fifth Street yesterday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock, after a long illness. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Z. Moore; two sons, Edmund W. and Cecil E. Hobbs; two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Rowe and Mrs. Fannie Forehand, all of Norfolk; and four grandchildren. Mr. Hobbs was a native of Hobbsville, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years. Mr. Hobbs was a well-known plumber and at one time was president of the local Master Plumbers Association. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, a past chancellor of Charity Lodge No. 10, Knights of Pythias, and the D.O.O.K. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
