Mrs. Rosa Platto Hobbs, 74,
widow of Rufus A. Hobbs and 
daughter of the
late John 
and Mrs. Josephine Platto, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday at 8:25 a.m., at the residence,
 724 Carolina Avenue.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Paul A. Redmon, of Norfolk; 
two sons,
George 
A. Hobbs, of Hampton, and John J. Hobbs, of 
Norfolk; a grandson, John J.
Hobbs, 
Jr., and a sister, Mrs. William Cashman, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the
 residence to Blessed Sacrament

Catholic Church for 
funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.


Rosary services will be held at the residence tonight at 9:15 o’clock.
