He was a Confederate Veteran, having served throughout the war in Jackson Gray's from Norfolk County. Mr. Hodges is survived by the following children: Joe Hodges, Mrs. Ida V. Russell, Miss Lydia Hodges, Mrs. Lucile Hamilton and two brothers, Hiram and John Hodges, of Great Bridge. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral apartments of J.R. Williams, 208 Chestnut street at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and burial will be in the Confederate lot, Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Hodges had been a resident of Norfolk County all of his life.
