JOHN J. HODGES The typographical fraternity of this and other cities will be sorry to hear of the death, at 8 o'clock Friday evening, at his residence, on Church street extended, this city, of Mr. John J. Hodges, a popular and well-known member of the Typographical Union of Norfolk. Mr. Hodges was but 39 years of age when he fell victim to paralysis of the brain, superinduced by a malarial attack. the deceased was a native of, and served his time in, this city. He had been connected with the several newspapers of this vicinity. on different occasions and, at the time of his death, was foreman of Mr. Barcroft's job printing office, in THE LANDMARK building. A grief-stricken wife and four children mourn the death of a loving husband and a kind father, and a host of friends will learn with sorrow of the departure of a good citizen and an upright man. The funeral will take place from his late residence at 4 o'clock this afternoon.
