Hodges, aged 58, wife of John M. Hodges, died yesterday morning at 1:30 o'clock, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. L. R. Harris, Memphis, Tenn. Mrs. Hodges was a native of Southampton County, but had resided in Norfolk for thirty-three years. She lived with her son, J. Mason Hodges, 111 East Twenty-eighth street, and was a member of the Park Place Methodist Church. Mrs. Hodges is survived by three sons, J. Mason Hodges and Earl L. Hodges, of Norfolk, and Harry H. Hodges, of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Mrs. Lelburn H. Harris, of Memphis; three brothers, E. J. and W. C. Persons, of Southampton County, and W. T. Persons, of Macon, N.C.; and two sisters, Miss Annie B. Persons and Mrs. B. D. Ellis, of Southampton County. Funeral services will be held from the residence of her son, J. Mason Hodges, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. G. H. Newberry, pastor of Park Place Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
