The Virginian-Pilot, Saturday, November 15, 1975

NORFOLK - George Reid Hodges, 75, of 2511 West Ave., the husband of Mrs. Mamie 
S. Hodges and a native of Fremont, N.C., died Thursday in Hampton Veterans 
Hospital.

He retired from Norfolk Naval Supply Center after 27 years.

He was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People. He was a World War 
I veteran.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roberta H. Artis and Mrs. Arbella H. 
Harvey, and a son Lendis Hodges all of Norfolk, eight grandchildren, and two 
great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. in United House of Prayer 
for All People by Elder E. Harris. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with full 
military honors at the grave. Jones Funeral Home has charge.
