NORFOLK - Viola Hodges of 958 Goochland St. died Sunday in a hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of George Hodges. She was a member of
Disciples Church of Christ in Temperanceville and had been a foster parent for 30
years.

Survivors include sic daughters, Mary Martin, Helen Grant and Ruby Copeland, all of
Norfolk, Linda Gaddy of Chesapeake, Gloria Henriquez of Miami and JoAnn Owens of
Naugatuck, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Hale Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery.

The family is at the residence.
