CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mrs. Aline Uzzell Hodges, 74, of 1838 North Cliff Drive, the widow
of Joseph Hodges and a native of Norfolk, died Sunday in her home.

She was a retired City of Norfolk employee and formerly owned and operated Aline's
Beauty salon in Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Audreynell H. Fountain of Virginia Beach and
Mrs. Laura H. Shirley of Charlotte; a son, Joseph H. Hodges of Philadelphia; a
sister, Ms. Alease Uzzell of Jacksonville; a grandson; two nieces; and two nephews.

The body is being sent to Hale Funeral Home in Norfolk and the family will be at the
home of her daughter, 5814 W. Hastings court, Lake Edward section of Virginia
Beach.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in St. Mark's RZUA Church by the Rev.
James O. Allen. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
