Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 15, 1993 
James Hodges, 41, of the 5200 block of Colter Court, a retired barber, died
March 13, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mr. Hodges was born in Boston, Mass. He had retired from Jones Barber Shop after
12 years. He was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include four sisters, Paulette T. Grady of Virginia Beach, Judith L.
Hodges of Boston, Jackie Kringer of Maui, HI and Cheytora Hodges of Norfolk;
three brothers, Bruce W. Hodges and Shawn M. Hodges, both of Tucson, Ariz. and
Keith B. Hodges of Long Beach, Calif.; and 16 nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Second Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Guns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake
service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Funeral Home. The remains
will be placed at state at 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
