Virginian Pilot January 13, 1981

Burrell Hodges, 78, of 1531 Fleetwood Ave., the husband of Mrs. Alice Alder 
Hodges and a retired, 26-year employee of Norfolk Naval Shipyard, died Sunday in 
a hospital.
He was a native of Beaufort, N.C. and lived in this area most of his life. He 
was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Virginia Beach.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Christine Cudworth of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Doris White of Virginia Beach; and two sons, Robert Hodges and John Wesley 
Hodges of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. in First Church of the Nazarene, Virginia 
Beach, by the Rev. Paul J. CaChance. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, has charge.
