Mary Hodges, Well Known Colored Woman, Succumbs

Mary E. Hodges, a well-known and highly-respected colored woman, and for more than 
40 years a faithful servant in the family of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Oliver, died at a 
local hospital Tuesday morning at 5:15 o’clock. Funeral services and interment 
will be private, this afternoon.
