Norfolk - Mrs. Florida R. Hodges of 2625 Maltboro avenue died in her home Feb. 
1. A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late James Rooney and Mrs. 
Edmonia Rooney.

She was a graduate of state Normal College, NC, and a retired school teacher.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Irene Hewitt of Norfolk; an aunt, Mrs. 
Bertha Jackson of Norfolk; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Feb. 6. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves 
Funeral Home in charge.
