Virginian-Pilot August 25, 1963
NORFOLK — Mrs. Virginia Tucker Mapp Hodgman, 73, widow of Charles M. Hodgman, died 
Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at her home, 1305 Willow Wood Drive.
Mrs. Hodgman, a native of Princess Anne County, was a member of Old Donation 
Episcopal Church. Her parents were Richard A. and Mrs. Margaret Talmadge Brown.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Laird of Norfolk; two sons, Charles M. 
Hodgman Jr. of Virginia Beach and Richard R. Hodgman of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. 
David E. Rippetoe of Dillon, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 
11 a.m. by the Rev. Beverley T. White. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
