Virginian Pilot Tuesday February 5, 1985


Anne Amelia Hoerres, 76, of 827 Norview Ave., a native of Norfolk, died Sunday 
in a nursing home.
Mrs. Hoerres is survived by a daughter, Sadie Shaffer of Atlanta; a son, Xavier 
Hoerres of West Fork, Ark.; three sisters, Mary Celestine Sambataro, Gulielva 
Ives and Olivia B. Crouss, all of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
The graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas Nee. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel, is in charge.
