Williams Hoffler, 68, the widow of Thomas G. Hoffler, and a resident of the Norfolk area for 30 years, died Tuesday in a hospital. She was born in Red Oak, N.C., and was a Catholic. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Carol H. Sumner of Williamsburg, Mrs. Mary Ann Dye of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Linda H. Williams of Salem, Va.; a son, Thomas G. Hoffler Jr., of Norfolk; three brothers, Richard Beal of Enfield, N.C., Russell Williams of Nashville, N.C., and John Harold Williams of Red Oak, N.C.; and seven grandchildren. A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7 in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, and the family will be at 817 W. 52nd St., Norfolk. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk.
