NORFOLK - Donald Everett Hofford, 40, of 5444 Beckner St., husband of Mrs. Mary 
Wancheck Hofford and son of Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson Hofford and the late Webster 
Hofford, died in a hospital Saturday at 12:40 a.m.
A native of Roselle, NJ., he lived in Norfolk nine years. He retired in 1962 from 
the Marine Corps as a master sergeant after 20 years and was a veteran of World 
War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and was a loan 
representative with First Mortgage Corp.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Roger Hofford and Michael 
Hofford of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Monday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
