NORFOLK - Peter G. Hofstede, 54, of 3611 Lafayette Blvd., died Friday in a 
hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Peter J. and Mrs. Agatha C. Hofstede. He was 
retired as a baker from Mama Kayer’s Bakery. He was a member of Christ the King 
Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include two daughters, Darleen Hofstede of Hawaii, and Mrs. 
Deborah Edwards of Virginia Beach; a son, Peter F. Hofstede of Yonkers, N.Y.; and 
a brother, Gerald Hofstede of Yonkers.
A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A Christian Wake will be said today at 8 
p.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts.
