Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Newstead Hogan, 88, widow of George Hogan, and daughter of 
the late William and Mrs. Pamela Parrott Newstead, a native and lifelong resident 
of this section, died at the residence, A-7 Westover Court Apartments, 1245 
Westover Avenue, yesterday at 4:15 p.m.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Pamela Hogan, of Norfolk and Mrs. Elizabeth 
Doughty, of Atlanta; 
one son, Hunter A. Hogan, of Norfolk; nine
grandchildren; six 
great-
grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. 
Steven Hogan, of Augusta, Ga.
The body will be taken from the 
H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred
Heart 
Catholic Church, of
 which Mrs. Hogan was a member,
 for services
Thursday at 10 
a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
funeral apartments today at 7:30 p.m.
