The Virginian Pilot March 5, 1965
Mrs. Lillie Capps Hoggard, 76, of 1725 Springfield Ave. died Thursday in a 
Virginia Beach convalescent home.
A native of Princess Anne County, she was a daughter of George Albert and Mrs. 
Emma Capps and the widow of Ernest Linwood Hoggard.  She was a member of Oak 
Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bertha McDilda of Norfolk; two sons, Clyde 
J. Hoggard and Lloyd V. Hoggard of Richmond; a brother, Russell A. Capps of 
Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to Graham Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 
Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Alvin L. St. Clair.  Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
