Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 10, 1995
Clara Hoggard, 86, of the 700 block of Easy St., died Wednesday, March 8, 1995, 
in Lafayette Villa Nursing Center. 

She was born in Elizabeth City, N.C. She was a member of Metropolitan AME Church 
and was active in many phases of the church, including the Choir, Usher Board 
and Missionary Society. 

Survivors include cousins, Jessie M. Lilly, James Lilly III, Gail Arthur, Sidney 
Lilly, Mary Matthews, Shirley Johnson and Walter Harris. 

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 
where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. They will also receive 
friends at 2418 Ruffin St., the home of Jessie M. Lilly.
