Hoggard, Sr., president of the Norfolk Housing Corporation and a prominent real estate broker in Norfolk, died yesterday at 3 a.m. in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Princess Anne County, Hoggard had lived in this area all of his life, making his home at 704 Westover Avenue. He was the son of the late Horatio C. and Mrs. Molly Herbert Hoggard. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Madge McNair Hoggard; a son, Thurmer H. Hoggard, Jr.; five sisters, Mrs. H.W. Coleman, Miss Frances Hoggard, Mrs. M.K. Gwynne, Mrs. Alice Granbery, and Miss Mary Lou Hoggard; two brothers, H.P. and H.C. Hoggard, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the residence to St. Paul's Episcopal Church for services Wednesday at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Moultrie Guerry officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
