Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 21, 1916

Mrs. Mary Nash Herbert Hoggard, daughter of the late Edward Henry Herbert and 
Margaret Herbert of Princess Anne County, Virginia and wife of Horatio C. 
Hoggard, died at her residence, 413 West York Street, last night at 11:15 
o'clock, in the 69th year of her age.
Besides her husband, she leaves surviving her eight children, Thurmer Hoggard, 
H.C. Hoggard, Jr., H.P. Hoggard, Mrs. Horace W. Coleman, Mrs. Matthew Gwynne, 
Mrs. Alice Granbery, Miss Mary Lou Hoggard and Miss Frances Dade Hoggard; one 
brother, Abner T. Herbert and four sisters, Mrs. Laura H. MacAlpine, Mrs. 
Rebecca McNair, Mrs. William W. Old and Mrs. Norman Bell.

HOGGARD - At the residence No. 413 W. York St., Monday, March 20, 1916, at 11:15 
o'clock p.m., MARY NASH HERBERT, wife of H.C. Hoggard, in the 69th year of her 
age.
Funeral services at the above residence, WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment private.
